Digital visa specialist Viselio has been acquired by CIBT, a provider of visa and immigration services for an undisclosed sum.
Switzerland-based Viselio launched in 2017 and provides a simplified visa application process via its software.
According to a statement Viselio, a Phocuswright 2018 Summit participant, will help CIBT accelerate its strategy to improve the customer experience through the use of data, artificial intelligence and automation.
The company’s software team will join CIBT with the combined team continuing to develop services that improve the process for travelers.
Eric Scheinerman, chief executive, CIBT, says: ”CIBT’s 30-year success as the market leader can be attributed to our continuous focus on creating responsive and innovative solutions for our clients.
“With COVID-19, the entire landscape has been drastically altered and clients need tech-enabled solutions that minimize the effort and complexity associated with international mobility ensuring accuracy, compliance, and speed. We see a significant opportunity in the market that other firms have not addressed.”
Viselio announced funding of €2.8 million in February 2020 saying it planned to expand into new markets.
