TripSay may not be a household name yet, but after working with Dutch augmented reality pioneer Layar things may be looking up.
The fledgling travel content site from Finland was picked by mobile and TV giant Samsung to feature in a recent French TV commercial for its Galaxy Spica handset.
In the ad, Samsung was showing off augmented reality through the Layar app available on the handset - and TripSay was one of a number of "layers" included.
The ad first aired in France at the end of March 2010.

TripSay has provided Layar with around 260,000 travel-related points of interest around the globe, all of which are available on the Anroid and iPhone versions of the app.
Similar to other augmented reality platforms, Layar plots the points-of-interest on a live feed into the phone, using the handset's camera screen and GPS capabilities.
TripSay has also recently added a new search module into its main website, allowing users to browse for hotels on a map with dynamic pricing included for each property.
CEO and founder Juha Huttunen says:

"We wanted to make that better and I believe we have succeeded. It's a totally map driven solution to filter and select your hotel based on its location and places near by along with the familiar prices, stars and reviews."
Hotel inventory and prices are provided by Booking.com.
