Trainline has created a two-minute film showing what it
calls a “voicebot duet” to promote its voice app for Google Assistant.
The video features Big Shaq, a rap character created by
comedian Michael Dapaah, rapping to Trainline’s voice app – and getting useful
responses that help him plan his trip.

“One thing we have discovered with the voice app with Google
is discoverability is one of the challenges of the whole industry,” says Dave
Slocombe, product director for Trainline.
“Whereas the mobile app industry has the app store at the
center, there isn’t one app store at the center of Google Voice infrastructure.”
Trainline is sharing the short film on its website and on YouTube,
Snapchat, Instagram, Spotify and digital audio channels.
