If you've ever wondered what little things business travellers appreciate most when travelling by air, travel management company Egencia has done a study.
Among the top five are extra leg room, 70%, avoiding the middle seat (interesting given the post earlier this week on avoiding window seats), 61%, jumping to the front of the security queue, 59%, access to airport lounge, 47% and inflight wifi access, 43%.
Respondents were also asked if they are squeezing meetings into a day to avoid hotel costs in the current economic climate with 48% saying they are while 42% say they don't and the inevitable 10% who don't know.
The research also looks at who the average European business traveller is - male, aged 31 to 50, travels once or twice a month mainly nationally followed by Europe and then internationally, flies economy and works in senior management, sales or technology.
Full findings of the Egencia Business Traveller Report are to be revealed later this month.
