Speculation around a possible sale of Opodo by owner Amadeus has not put a halt to strategic decisions being made in-house with the appointment of a new digital marketing agency.
Apparently the online travel agency has hired Work Club to work on its overall branding and digital marketing strategy following a three-way pitch (no details on the other firms vying for the business).
Work Club will work for Opodo only in the UK rather than across its other European sites such as France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the Nordics.
Work Club activity will be launching within three months, officials say.
Opodo is currently at the centre of huge speculation over future, with Amadeus supposedly looking to offload the business.
Last week French OTA GoVoyages put itself in the frame and publicly disclosed its interest in buying Opodo. Amadeus and Opodo have consistentlyrefusedto comment.
