Trip-tracking app Polarsteps has brought its total level of investment so far to €4.6 million after securing a Series A round from INKEF Capital.
The 10-strong team from the Netherlands had previously raised small seed rounds since its launch in 2015.
The latest new €3 million investment will be used for product development and to expand the team, the company says.

Polarsteps is an iOS and Android app that allows travelers to log their trips in real time and share the results with friends and family.
The company says the app is likely to evolve from its current iteration over time.
Co-founder and CEO Koen Droste says the startup wants to "inspire and connect people through travel," using a single platform to house the "entire travel experience."
"From the very first inspiration on where to go, to remembering your trip years after it has ended. That’s why we’ve been working behind the scenes on our next big challenge: to reinvent the way in which travelers plan their trips.
"In the coming year we will roll out a whole new way for travelers to plan their next journey. Polarsteps will become the place to go to for planning, tracking and remembering all your trips."
The company claims it has one million registered users, with 50 million days of travel collectively tracked on the app so far.
INKEF has previously backed fellow Dutch startup WithLocals with a €3.5 million investment round in October 2017.
