PhocusWire's sister brand Phocuswright has promoted Pete Comeau to managing director of the organization.
He was previously senior vice president of strategy and operations, including a regular role fronting the brand's Battleground and Launch competitions at The Phocuswright Conference and Phocuswright Europe events.
Comeau joined Phocuswright from Orbitz Worldwide in 2007 and began his career in the travel industry as a sales manager at Moguls Mountain Travel in 2000.
He says: "The Phocuswright brand continues to thrive in the market, representing credibility, quality and integrity, which is a testament to the strong, dedicated team we have in place. I look forward to guiding our research practice, our global events and our PhocusWire media business into the next phase of growth."
Comeau's new role follows the appointment of Charuta Fadnis in December 2019 as Phocuswright's senior vice president for research and product strategy.
Bob Sullivan, president of the travel group at Northstar Travel Group, parent company of Phocuswright and PhocusWire, says: "Under Pete’s leadership, Phocuswright has enjoyed great success with the launch of Open Access, our syndicated research product, growing renewal rates and subscription revenues.
"He has also been a core driver of PhocusWire, which in just two years has become the clear content leader in the market with strong engagement metrics and revenues."
