A startup incubator catering specifically to local travel tech startups has been announced by the promotional office of Mayor of London Boris Johnson.
The Traveltech Lab will provide shared workspaces and networking opportunities at 2 More London Riverside, by the helmet-shaped mayor's office near London Bridge station.
Makers of travel apps, hotel booking websites, and similar operations in tourism, hospitality and events can apply to claim one of the 35 spaces by March 31 at thetrampery.com/traveltechlab.
The lab will be overseen by the city's promotional arm London & Partners.
The project is happening in partnership with The Trampery, which helped kick of the "Tech City" area of Shoreditch with its workspaces in 2009.
The Trampery will handle the remodeling of London & Partners’ existing office, a project set to be completed this summer.
