Knowland has recruited a Hyatt executive to fill the role of CEO following the unexpected passing of Robert Post in late 2020.
Jeff Bzdawka is a veteran hotel and technology executive, most recently serving as senior vice president of global hotel technology at the hotel chain.
After the passing of Post last year, Knowland founder Michael McKean returned to serve as interim CEO.
Knowland is best known for its market intelligence data platform for hotels and the meetings sector.
Bzdawka had been with Hyatt since 2012, holding a number of technology roles including vice president of global property systems and field services.
Prior to joining Hyatt he worked at TravelClick (2005 to 2012) and Pegasus (1999 to 2004).
He says: "Full recovery for the industry will not occur until hotels can realize the profitability impact from the return of meetings and events at a substantial level.
"Knowland is positioned to enable that recovery and I am excited to take the company forward into a new era."
