AirAsia has swung into second place as the global airline on the receiving end of the most messages from Twitter, although is still far behind leader Delta.
The pair and Brazilian airline TAM captured almost 50,000 tweets between them in May 2011, almost 13,000 more than the top three in the previous month.
The monthly Eezeer Airline Twitter Report also found that 88% of tweets to all airlines around customer service issues, with 5% commenting on punctuality, 2% on food and 1% on comfort and security of passengers.
Meanwhile, Delta replaced TAM as the most prolific airline in terms of number of tweets sent out to followers.
