Mobile travel guide newbie Everplaces is enabling travel companies to create their own mobile marketing applications via new technology launched today.
Everplaces, better known for its social travel app (TLabs here), has turned its hand to a B2B offering helping companies take existing content and develop it into a standalone, branded app.
Boss Tine Thygesen says:

“Mobile marketing is in big demand. We have already got 34 apps published and more than 100 being built. Companies need a mobile presence, which has been both cumbersome and expensive in the past."
She cites research from ITB World Travel Monitor shows 34% of people already make travel bookings via mobile and 40% already use them to get destination information demonstrating the fast shift to mobile.
Thygesen says the branded apps will help companies extend their engagement with customers which is challenging in a transaction-based industry.
A number of companies are already using the apps including UKTI and destination marketing organisation Wonderful Copenhagen while a major deal with a global player is also in the pipeline.
