Opportunist cyber criminals are seeing mobile devices as the new method of spreading their chaos, with ome countries reporting a 400% increase in malware on some handsets between 2011 to 2012.
Mobile devices, according to some, pose huge risks to owners simply because as they are used more often and with a greater divserity of functionality.
But it is employee-owned hardware, encouraged by some companies jumping on the current wave of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), where the pinch is being felt most.
The problem is that some organisations just do not have budgets to implement and enforce BYOD security policies.
