Breadtrip, Beijing-based travel experience sharing service has secured Series B funding for around $10 million from China Broadband Capital.
The company says it will be using this new fund to develop new travel products.
In March 2013, Breadtrip raised a Series A investment (amount not disclosed) from Vertex Venture Holdings.
Breadtrip is a mobile-based service that enables users to record their trips and share with friends in the form of travelogue.
Users of the mobile app are able to create a map of all locations visited, upload pictures with description, note the accommodation they used, flights taken, and attractions visited. For example: A five day trip to Hong Kong and Macau - here.
Users can search for travelogues, like/comment on every picture in a travelogue, and also share it with friends. The most popular destination pictures (in terms of like/comment) are tagged to a destination.
Every like/comment/share activity on a travelogue/picture gains points for the author, and the total point can be redeemed for buying travel products on Breadtrip.
The mobile app also has a feature called "Geo Tag" that can map all locations the user visited on a map and replay like a movie.
Founder Peng Tao says:

"We believe that life is like a journey and each trip represents a period of your life. So, we are trying our best to help user have a nice experience when they are travelling by investing heavily on our app design and technology."
Breadtrip was founded in 2012 and currently has approximately 10 million registered users.
China Broadband Capital's other travel industry investments include China-based vacation rental service Tujia (secured $64 million in Series B), and China-based car rental mobile app service Yongche.
