Carlson Wagonlit Travel is becoming a mobile apps aggregator for business travel.
The travel management company unveiled the global launch of CWT Market, a free iPhone and Android application with a Blackberry version in the works.
With CWT Market, CWT becomes sort of a curator of the best travel apps, aggregating them and making them available to corporate travelers.
CWT Market users download the free app and then can preview and download more than two dozen travel apps, some of them free and some paid.
For example, CWT is promoting apps such as XE Currency, Perfect World Clock, Kayak Flight and Hotel Search, Train Times UK, ITA Software's OnTheFly, TripAdvisor, iTranslate, GPS Grid Reference and, well, My Horoscope.
CWT says it will monitor the publication of new apps and make the best available through CWT Market so travelers can be kept abreast of and use the latest new travel-oriented apps.
CWT Market has been available in France since March 2011 and now is available globally, the company says.
