American Airlines allows certain Klout users to enjoy free lounge service

American Airlines has partnered with social influence benchmark tool Klout to allow users to enter its Admiral Club lounge free for a day.

American Airlines allows any users (not necessarily AA customers) with a Klout score of 55 or higher to enter its Admiral Club lounges for free - a service which would ordinarily cost $50 per day.

To do this users will have to allow American Airlines to access their Klout page to verify the score. In addition, users can choose to enter the contest (for free) to win a year long membership of Admiral Club lounge.

Of late, Klout has attracted quite a few integration with travel brands,

• Palms in Las Vegas asks for guest's Klout score to offer preferred treatment for social media influencers.
• Online reputation management tool ReviewPro shows user's Klout score so that a hotelier decides who in the hotel (in hierarchy) should respond to it.
• Virgin America allowed its social influencers (known through Klout integration) to travel for free in its new service to Toronto from Los Angeles and SFO.
