Maison
Maison's chatbot works as a virtual concierge for hotels and hospitality companies, employing agentic artificial intelligence (AI) to assist guests.
Founded in 2024, the B2B Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform currently said that category leadership is its main priority.
What is your 30-second pitch to investors?
What if hotels had an AI operating system that anticipates guest needs, automates workflows
and drives revenue 24/7? Maison delivers exactly that: an agentic AI operating system for hotels and hospitality, combining conversational and actionable AI concierge services with an
AI search-engine compatible knowledge base.
In 10 months we’ve activated 280+ properties,
replacing static chat widgets with a configurable AI layer that plugs directly into property
management and booking systems. Maison provides real-time reporting, analytics-based
intelligence and hospitality-focused knowledge graphs, complete with tactical playbooks for
operators.

Describe both the business and technology aspects of your startup.
Business: Maison is a B2B SaaS platform offering a forever-free starter tier to accelerate adoption among
independent hotels and small groups. As customers scale, they unlock paid integrations,
agentic workflows, direct bookings, targeted upsells, on-demand operations playbooks that
harness our hospitality knowledge graph. Over time, Maison will evolve into a modular
distribution layer, enabling bookings through end-user personal agents.
Technology: At our core is a fully configurable AI layer powered by large language models fine-tuned on
hospitality data. A proprietary orchestration engine manages multi-turn conversations,
hotel-specific logic and integrations to systems of record. Our AI-answer-engine compatible
knowledge bases, real-time analytics dashboard and embedded business playbooks form a
unified platform that is an intelligent backbone that adapts to each property’s operations and
adapts to guest profiles.

Now that the product is built, what's your strategy for customer acquisition?
We leverage direct sales outreach to independent hotels and small groups, backed by a growing waitlist of industry leaders. Strategic integrations with PMS providers and hotel collections turn. Maison into their default AI layer, simplifying procurement and onboarding.
Tell us what process you've gone through to establish a genuine need for your company and the size of the addressable market.
Hundreds of interviews with general managers, owners and marketing directors confirmed a
clear demand: scalable guest communication without headcount growth. The addressable
market exceeds 300,000 independent hotels globally, with more than $2 billion spent annually
on messaging and booking support tools. AI-native platforms are poised to capture an
increasing share of that spend.
How and when will you make money?
Maison will monetize through tiered subscription plans, transaction fees on bookings and
upsells and enterprise-grade modules for large hotel groups.
What are the backgrounds and previous achievements of the founding team?
Fredrik Sjoberg (founder and CEO): Commercial strategy and former hotel operator, NYU professor in hospitality operations and innovation.
How have you addressed diversity and inclusion within your business?
From day one we’ve built a globally distributed team, prioritizing diverse perspectives over pedigree. Our platform supports multilingual interfaces and accessibility features to serve all guest profiles.
What's been the most difficult part of founding the business so far?
Striking the right balance between rapid development and clear communication—educating a traditionally slow-moving industry on realistic AI capabilities without overpromising.
Generally, travel startups face a fairly tough time making an impact—why are you going to be one of the lucky ones?
By embedding our agentic AI OS deeply into hotel tech stacks, we solve real operational challenges from launch. Our early traction, domain-specific product and founder-market fit give us a genuine edge.
A year from now, what state do you think your startup will be in?
We aim to be live on 10,000+ properties, secure major enterprise contracts, and launch PMS-integrated Maison module that generates direct bookings. Our target: become the default AI concierge layer across the independent hotel segment.
What is your endgame? (Going public, acquisition, growing and staying private, etc.)
Category leadership is our priority. Success could lead to strategic acquisition by a PMS, GDS or OTA, scaling to a public company, or continued independence as the hospitality industry’s AI backbone.
