Easol, a technology platform for experiences, has secured $30 million in a Series A extension round.
The investment consists of $20 million equity from Y Combinator, Tiger Global, Foundation Capital, FMZ Ventures, Notion Capital and Eight Roads. The remaining $10 million is a debt facility through Viola Credit.
U.K.-based Easol, which was founded in 2021, said the funding had allowed it to develop an agentic tool for experiences businesses called Teammates.
The company, which secured funding of almost $30 million in 2021, said its technology enables experiences’ providers to manage events in-house including bookings, payments, marketing, support and guest data.
Through Teammates, businesses can create their own artificial intelligence (AI) agents, to help them drive efficiency and identify revenue opportunities.
”We built Easol to give experience businesses control over their entire business and bring their technology in-house,” said Ben Simpson, co-founder and CEO of Easol. “AI is now allowing us to do so much more, with rising costs and tighter margins we can now support experience creators in scaling their business growing revenue in ways we couldn't have imagined when we first launched the platform in 2021.”
Easol believes AI will be “transformative” for experiences business.
“They'll be able to look after every guest like never before, grow bookings with specialist agents working as an extension of their team using their live data to operate, analyse, provide insights and take action across and keep watch over their whole business, while their teams focus on their customer relationships and delivering world class experiences,” Simpson said.
