San
Francisco-based Bounce, a luggage storage startup founded in 2018, has raised
$2 million led by General Catalyst.
Bounce provides
storage locations in more than 1,000 cities around the world, including in all
50 states in the U.S. and 20 additional countries across Europe, Asia, Oceania
and Africa.
The company partners with local businesses in a city, such as dry
cleaners, restaurants and hotels, that can provide a dedicated storage area.
“This raise is a major milestone on our journey to make
travelers and tourists' vacations simpler and more enjoyable,” says Cody
Candee, CEO of Bounce.

“We’re really excited to have already expanded into 20
countries globally as well as all 50 states and look forward to making travel
as easy as possible across the world.”
Users can book storage through Bounce for luggage of any
size as well as things like gym bags or sales materials. All bookings include
$10,000 in insurance protection.
Bounce also offers a package acceptance service, payable either
by use or as a monthly subscription.
The company says it will use the funding to support its “exponential
growth as the team expands its reach further and begins to move into additional
verticals.”
