Spain-based camping startup Kampaoh has landed €14 million to fund its expansion beyond Spain’s borders. The funding round consists of €12.5 million of debt combined with €1.5 million from Kampaoh’s current partners JME Ventures, Encomenda and Axon Partners Group.
After doing more than €8.8 million in sales in 2022, Kampaoh says it expects to exceed €30 million in sales this year while expanding its business through Europe.

Spain-based financial boutique Baideko says it worked with Kampaoh on developing its business plan and advised the company on negotiations with potential funders.
Kampaoh has a “unique business model” and finds itself at the “right moment” to expand, says Manuel Fernández Maza, managing partner at Baideko. This financing will enable the company to quickly carry out its expansion plan, Maza adds.
Founded in 2016, Kampaoh says it works with campsites and offers “a new kind of camping” that doesn’t require guests to carry and assemble equipment. The company provides tents for up to six people according to guests’ budgets and tastes. Tents come equipped with beds, sheets, towels, cleaning service, tables, chairs and more.
