Expedia-backed Chinese OTA eLong is seeing 45% of room nights are being booked via mobile channels.
Mobile is the largest booking channel, eLong says as part of its second quarter 2014 results last week.
Earlier this year, during its first quarter 2014 earnings call, mobile-booked nights were in the 40% range.
Cumulative downloads of eLong mobile apps have now exceed 80 million, up from 60 million in the first quarter of 2014 and 45 million in Q4 2013.
CEO of eLong, Guangfu Cui, says:

"Every day our mobile applications provide real savings to our customers with tens of thousands of discounted lodging products, including pre-paid, flash sale, last minute and group buy products.
"With our broad range of accommodations products and attractive discounts, mobile has now become our largest booking channel, surpassing 60,000 transactions on peak days."
For the second quarter of 2014, the company reported total revenue of $50.4 million and profit of $5 million, up from $39.6 million in revenue and a loss of $5.69 million in Q1 this year.
Hotel reservations
Total room nights stayed in the second quarter increased 44% YOY to 8.3 million.
Revenue from hotel reservations was $40.95 million (81% of total revenue), compared to $32.4 million in the same quarter last year.
Currently, eLong has a total of 120,000 contracted properties in China and about 325,000 properties worldwide.
Also, over 10,000 properties now use cloud-based property management systems (PMS) - Yunzhanggui and Zhuzhe.
Air ticketing and other areas
Air ticketing commission revenue decreased 1% in the second quarter of 2014, compared to the same quarter last year, whilst other revenue streams (including advertising and travel insurance)increased 33% YOY.
"Service development expenses" increased 55% compared to the same quarter last year, this is mainly due to the increased personnel costs. Sales and marketing expenses decreased 10% compared to the same quarter last year, mainly driven by decreased advertising expenses.
At the end of the second quarter of 2014, eLong's cash and cash equivalents was $311 million.
