NEW HIRE: David Falter has joined Carlson Wagonlit to become president of RoomIt, the corporate travel brand's hotel distribution division, replacing Scott Brennan who launched the service and will become its chief growth officer. CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE: Malaysia Airlines will use Amadeus's Customer Experience Management tool to offer personalized offers to passengers across its various channels. Offers include upgrades, car rental and other ancillary products.
DISTRIBUTION: Sabre and Alaska Airlines have renewed their full content agreement to sell tickets through through the GDS. The carrier will use will also the SabreSonic Customer Sales & Service tool, alongside the Revenue Optimizer, Revenue Integrity and Market Intelligence platforms.
STARTUPS: The Star Alliance group has started a partnership with the Plug & Play accelerator program, allowing it to identify relevant new businesses and work on product ideas together.
PAYMENTS: Travelport's PCI DSS certification program will now be available to all IATA registered travel agencies. The tool allows to obtain Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard-led certification on all transactions when handling customer bookings.
