This particular graphic drills down into the traveling habits and trends of the US traveler in the first quarter of 2013. This is living, breathing data hot off the digital nodes that define user profiles from actual behavior.
One revealing result is when travelers are booking: 3% booked the same day, 22% within 3-7 days before they flew and 23% booked more than 30 days in advance. This means that the slim majority of analyzed travelers are booking in the sweet spot between 8-29 days before a trip.
