The company, through its website and downloadable Facebook app, enables users to share travel experiences social-media style with like-minded souls via an interactive map, research destinations and book deals.
Where I've Been announced April 15 that it raised an additional $750,000 in funding from lightbank, an investment vehicle created by Groupon founders Eric Lefkofsky and Brad Keywell.
The company previously had received $1 million in angel funding.
Where I've Been claims to have 9 million registered users and says it will use the new funds to "aggressively expand its current user base..."
