Shutterstock, the stock imagery platform, has trawled through its download data to reveal travel-related trends.
The 2015 Shutterstock travel trends report lets a person choose a country from a drop-down menu to find out which destinations its residents are downloading the most images of.
For example, by clicking on Ireland, one discovers that the Irish are most interested in images of Japan right now. In the US, it's images of Vietnam that are leading growth in popularity among Americans.
Canadians are curious about Singapore, Brits are dreaming of Barbados, Germans are checking out Malaysia, and South Africans are into Brazil.
For each destination, Shutterstock shows what some of the popular searches are, too. People searching on Malaysia are especially interested in images of the Petronas Towers, for instance.
In another example, people searching for stock photos of Peru tend to use popular keywords like llama and sacred.
Worldwide, Shutterstock says downloads that include the keyword "adventure" are up 26%, and images of safaris have jumped 46% in popularity in the past year.
