- Flash sales site Yuupon announced a "new Yuupon", which abandons vouchers for guaranteed reservations and introduces cruises, flight and hotel packages, car rentals, theme park tickets and transfers. In addition to expanding the markets it covers, as well, Yuupon also will be offering members the opportunity to share deals in social media and then to earn 1% of the travel purchased toward future travel booked through Yuupon.
- Adelman Travel Group, a US-based travel management company with affiliates in Canada and Europe, has added a private jets solutions to its Adelman Integrated Fares suite. "Adelman Jets allows Adelman to service corporate clients who prefer the convenience of a private jet to move a group of travelers to a single destination…" the company says. The service will use private turbo props, light jets, heavy jets, helicopters and airliners, Adelman says.
- Ski the Rockies, a ski vacation business based in Salt Lake City, Utah, agreed to use an online and offline reservation solution from VacationRoost. In addition to providing the technology, VacationRoost will also take care of supplier contracting and operational services, the companies say.
- Eurocheapo is growing its range of hotel guides at a healthy pace. The launch of its latest guide for properties in Frankfurt follows recent launches for Geneva and Zurich. The number of online hotel city guides on Eurocheapo has now reached 30, with 1,200 properties reviewed by its team of experts.
- Total Media has picked up the media planning and buying account for Just Go Holidays, a coach package trip operator based in the UK. The operator has £1.5 million to spend and is expected to throw its weight behind a combination of online (PPC) and offline media, including local press.
