TrustYou integrates with quartet of new services
- Rainmaker, PriceMatch, IdeaS and EasyRMS have struck deals to use TrustYou's Meta-Review API. The system gives them structured review data for more than 400,000 hotels around the world, including in 30 languages.
Virgin Holidays consolidates digital portfolio
- Switzerland-based Magnolia will oversee the tour operator's ancillary products platform (Travel Plus), the flagship website and other services. Magnolia currently counts Avis, Al Arabiya and Virgin America on its portfolio of clients.
Ice Portal inks content deal with
Qunar- The China-based metasearch site will use Ice Portal's Visual-ICE platform to supply curated images and rich media content. Images for more than 40,000 properties will be used by Qunar for its hotel property listings.
Monday 30 March 2015:Hotelogix signs AddMass as UK reseller
- Systems integration brand AddMass will act on behalf of Hotelogix to push sales of its property management and online distribution systems for hotels. Estimates put the number of hotels and B&Bs in the UK at some 45,000.
Intuitive upgrades iVector platform
- The company's flagship airline reservation system will include a "Mix & Match" tool allow users to combine two single searches when looking for a return flight, including the ability to use different technology suppliers for each leg. Intuitive currently counts the likes of LowCostHolidays and the holidays section of Lastminute.com amongst its client base.
Wednesday 25 March 2015:GuestCentric partners with PriceMatch
- GuestCentric and PriceMatch have joined forces to offer hotels an integrated digital marketing and revenue management system. The cloud-based technology means hotels will be able to react to changes in the market using real data. It will also enable them to update websites and channels with one click. PriceMatch raised $9 million last month.
GuestLogix unleashes t-Retail update
- GuestLogix is enabling branded fares and bundled ancillaries through the latest release of its t-Retail platform. The platform was developed by OpenJaw which was acquired by ancillary specialist GuestLogix in December.
Friday 20 March 2015:TravelClick expands Google partnership
- The new agreement will allow "one-click" mobile web bookings using Google Wallet for hotel owners using the Google Hotel Ads platform. Initially only available to US-based consumers, TravelClick-hosted hoteliers will continue to be able to use other Google services such as Hotel Finder, Local, Maps and Places.
Virgin Holidays gets attraction ticketing platform from
Intuitive- Intuitive's existing iVector product was used as the foundation for the Virgin Holidays Concierge service. The platform allows the tour operator to up-sell extras such as attractions and tour tickets to customers ahead of leaving on a trip.
Thursday 5 March 2015:Amadeus hooks up Blacklane
- Amadeus is making Blacklane's driver services available across all its channels as part of the Amadeus Taxi & Transfer Solution. Blacklane, which provides pre-booked rides at fixed prices is said to be the first fully integrated provider in the system and the partnership will enable the bookings of transfers in the same way as flights and hotel accommodation. Agents will be able to access the content by June followed by a solution for airline websites towards the end of the year.
Monday 2 March 2015:Sabre launches three personalisation tools
- The trio of services - Customer Data Hub and Customer Experience Manager and Dynamic Retailer - work together to produce customer information which can then be used to created various, targeted interactions with travellers and passengers. Virgin America is the first named carrier to take on the three services.
Triometric and
Farelogix join forces on NDC
- The agreement sees the pair collaborate to ensure airlines can implement the IATA-backed NDC standards using the Farelogix NDC-Xpress platform and Triometric's Web Services Analyzer tools. Airlines will be able to capture details on time-sensitive processes when using NDC as they try to build their merchandising services.
Vayant and
ArrivalGuides team up
- The travel destination content provider will push its content via the Vayant API to third parties and suppliers, to run alongside flight fares and schedules. ArrivalGuides currently has content from 500 destinations and features some 35,000 points of interest.
