Busy week so far for TripAdvisor - it has sewn up its second deal in the space of a day with an offer to buy European brand LaFourchette.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The "exclusive offer" will see TripAdvisor gain control of the web and mobile booking service for restaurants in France, Spain and Switzerland.
The Paris, France-based company also has a B2B division supplying restaurants with booking, data management and discounting tools.
TripAdvisor says LaFourchette staff will continue to operate from their existing European bases, with main offices in Paris and Barcelona.
The company has been majority owned by Otium Capital since 2009. It operates under the brand names Eltenedor in Spain and TheFork in the UK.
The transaction is expected close after "legal and administrative requirements have been completed".
President and CEO Steve Kaufer says:
"LaFourchette has an unparalleled network across Europe and has developed strong relationships with its restaurant partners.
"As a global company, we look forward to strengthening the LaFourchette brand and working together to enhance the TripAdvisor restaurant offering for users."
The announcement follows its acquisition of UK-based local expert marketplace TripBod earlier this week, also for an undisclosed fee.
