Two of Europe's software providers for suppliers of tours and activities have combined to create what they claim will be the biggest product marketplace in Europe.
Trekksoft and Bokun say their united customer base will feed a marketplace with more than 30,000 bookable products.
This, they claim, will ensure they have the larget supplier portfolio in Europe and allow global resellers using their respective distribution platforms to "have Europe covered".
The 2,000-strong, combined customer base of the two companies will be able to resell one another's products via the new marketplace.
Iceland-based Bokun has previously created its own marketplace for hotels, ground transporation providers and attraction operators.
Trekksoft has expertise in payment gateways and online booking systems for suppliers.
In a joint statement:
"Together, the marketplace and the payment gateway solution will improve operations of tours and activities companies greatly as well as giving resellers access to the the whole market through one platform."
Trekksoft has grown steadily in the past few years to increase the company's size to 70 people, with the majority working at its Switzerland headquarters.
