Luxury members-only sales site Travesse has acquired Perfect Escapes which includes the Spire, Chic Retreats and Travel Intelligence brands.
Terms of the deal are undisclosed but Travesse boss Amir Azulay says it means a three-year jumpstart on its original plans to provide a comprehensive online luxury travel service.
According to Azulay, the combination of a tried and tested booking engine enabling customers to access not only flash deals but luxury hotels at any time, thousands of existing hotel contracts and editorial content leaves Travesse way ahead of where it would otherwise have been in the flash deals arena.
Sites within the enlarged company will remain for the foreseeable future driving traffic to Travesse, which is to be the leading brand and all bookings will be directed to it.
Azulay says Travesse was able to make:

"the right deal at the right time because of our corporate finance background"
He adds that the majority of staff are remaining on board following the acquisition.
The deal means 12-month success metrics for Travesse, such as the 40,000 room nights generated as per this TLabs Showcase just over six months ago, have been surpassed already taking into account the acquired brands' performance.
US-based Perfect Escapes also gives Travesse, which is predominantly UK based, a foothold in a second territory with a third about to be revealed.
