Without missing a beat, Travelzoo is choreographing a $1.5 million U.S. TV campaign and Facebook contest around its new Travelzoo Top 20 Dance.
This is Travelzoo's first TV campaign in the U.S., a spokeswoman says.
The TV ad and YouTube video feature dancers depicting Travelzoo producers -- the people who cull the deals in its Top 20 newsletter -- letting loose (Up, down, look to the right, Up, down, look to the left) and displaying their best moves in the Top 20 Dance.
The music is to the tune of the 1980s hit "Hey Mickey," although the chorus is: "Travelzoo's Top 20 deals are one of a kind. They save you lots of money with the best deals online."

Jennifer Hamilton, who helped choreograph performances or performed herself in films such as "Austin Powers" and "Meet the Fockers," created the Top 20 Dance, which is geared to get viewers in the mood for a summer vacation delivered via Travelzoo, of course.
The TV campaign also supports a "Let's Get the Nation to Dance for its Vacation" social media contest, which began today and runs through June 1.
On Facebook, people are encouraged to watch the Top 20 Dance how-to video and then upload videos of themselves or someone else to be eligible to win a vacation. Travelzoo is giving away three vacations for two, and each person with a valid mailing address who uploads a video gets a Travelzoo T-shirt.
The initial television buys for the campaign cost $1.5 million and include a commercial on ABC's Dancing with the Stars on May 16.
