Travelport and China-based TravelSky Technology's relationship was further boosted today with news of an agreement to share hotel content.
The deal provides the 7,000 agents connected to TravelSky's system with access to pricing and availability information for more than 250,000 hotels.
A statement from Travelport also reports more than 650,000 hotel offers will be available via the partnership.
However, this figure was clarified during Travelport's fourth and 2011 full-year results call last week, as counting the same offer as many times as it appears from different suppliers such as online travel agencies and hotel sites etc.
Meanwhile, Travelport agents will be able to access TravelSky's hotel content via the GDS's Rooms and More booking engine.
The GDS have been falling over each other to sign up hotel content in recent months with Amadeus sealing a distribution deal with HRS earlier this year.
Travelport similarly added independent properties from Fastbooking to Rooms and More in October.
Travelport and TravelSky have been working together for more than a decade with an initiative unveiled last October to jointly develop passenger service systems.
Beijing-based TravelSky controls airline distribution of state-owned airlines in China and processes more than 200 million passengers annually.
