Travelport partners with ICE Portal for visual hotel content
- As part of its 'Beyond Air' strategy, Travelport is adding image provider ICE Portal to its Travel Commerce Platform. The deal means access to more than 40,000 images of hotels and resorts, further reach for hotel providers on the ICE system and a better content for travel agents.
Hostelworld offers channel management via
CloudBeds- Budget and youth accommodation specialist Hostelworld is using its BackPackOline property management service to offer CloudBeds' MyAllocator channel manager system to hostels and small properties. Hostelworld selected MyAllocator, which is one of CloudBeds' products for small properties, for is scalability, user-friendliness and affordability.
Dolphin Dynamics develops agents' site for
USAirtours- USAirtours has unveiled Bookit4less, a bookable website for travel agents using technology from Dolphin Dynamics. The service gives agents access to flights, car-hire and hotels at a range of destinations across the globe. The service is also linked to Dolphin's back office system enabling agents to calculate commission and get access to reporting tools.
Tuesday 16 December:EDreams Odigeo signs with Boxever
- Travel data specialist Boxever has been chosen by eDreams Odigeo to get a single view of the customer drawing in information from the web, transactions, engagement with advertising and email contact. The data will be used for a decision engine which aims to deliver relevant and timely information to customers.
Monday 15 December 2014:Azul Brazilian Airlines adopts Amadeus for hosting
- The South American low cost carrier says the integration with the ALTEA platform for reservations and ticketing took three months to complete. The move is being touted by the pair as another step in the airline's plans to expand into other international markets.
Tuesday 9 December 2014:Amadeus unveils e-Power Consolidator platform
- Travel agencies in the UK will be able to use the web-based sales and booking management tool for tickets and services from flight consolidators. The idea is that smaller agencies will "benefit from the negotiating power of high volume bookers" without the requirement for a IATA licence.
Sabre nabs
Wyndham Hotel Group- Almost 8,000 properties belonging to the chain will use Sabre's SynXis Enterprise Platform to assist with reservations, revenue management and occupancy technology. Hotels in the the Ramada and Days Inn sub-brands will also be included. The entire project will begin by mid-2015.
Thursday 4 December 2014:Amadeus and Worldpay strike integration deal
- A global agreement will see the payment processing company placed into the Amadeus Payment Platform. Amadeus-connected agencies will get access to more payment options for customers, including additional currencies, as well as integration into existing ticketing systems.
Tripomatic creates white label trip planner
- SkyPicker will be the first third party to add the Tripomatic system, giving its users the ability to search for information about destinations around the world and create itineraries of things to do. Partners will also be able to use the system to up-sell hotel accommodation and tours within the system,
Conferma extends HSBC connection
- The three-year continuation allows HSBC to provide the Conferma MiBooking system to travel management companies to secure payments for hotels using virtual credit cards.
Dolphin Dynamics wins Essential Escapes package
- The company's two brands, Essential Escapes and Tots Too will use the Dolphin tour operator sales and management system. Essential's travel consultants will be able to search, price and book directly contracted accommodation and ancillary products, alongside the existing consolidator and published fares.
