Hotel comparison site Top10 is looking to take personalisation to the next level with the integration of Instagram functionality.
The service is claiming a first with its incorporation of a live image feed from Instagram to enable Top10 users to see the latest pictures of a property posted by other guests and users and provide a more rounded view.
Top10, which was launched about a year ago (Startup Pitch here), already features tips from Foursquare providing users with advice and recommendations on hotels before they book.
The startup, which received funding of $8 million back in March, points to Expedia Media Solutions research from last year showing how consumers visit up to 38 different sites before booking.
It believes it can provide a list of the ten best hotels for a user by sifting through prices from sites including Booking.com, Expedia and LateRooms as well as by enabling the user to apply features such as price range and style of hotel.
Top10 also highlights further research from MIT revealing that humans process images three times faster than words.
