- Carlson Wagonlit Travel is on-message and claims that is saving clients a bunch of money in the process. CWT says it sent 1 million email alerts to clients in 2010, warning them when their bookings contradicted travel policy or providing them with trip-related information. CWT Program Messenger produced 4% to 7% cost savings in clients' travel-program spend, CWT claims.
- Extra online marketing tools for hoteliers are on offer from Wego after the company launched its own Premium Hotel Listings service. Hotels are now able to manage and update property details including images, descriptions, amenities and location maps using specially designed editing tools on the site.
- Rail search and booking is now available to users of Concur technology thanks to a deal inked with UK online rail retailer TheTrainLine. All rail product from the OTA will be bookable on the Concur system including the complicated fare structure used by many UK rail operators. Existing Concur features (fulfilment, invoicing etc) will added to the rail service.
