World Independent Hotels Promotion believes its Convert website and integrated booking engine system levels the playing field for hotels pitting themselves against well-known brands and third party big boys.
According to the marketing agency, the technology, which uses the Sabre Hospitality-owned SynXis booking engine, reduces booking time by 44%.
WIHP's developers have drawn on the experience of 4,000 websites to produce Convert which enables properties to offer an image-based website and booking engine with claims of loading times faster than any other hotel website currently out there.
Marketing director Martin Soler attributes the speed of the tool to the initial work carried out by developers in stripping down websites to the elements that the majority of users actually click on.
"We've made something only the big guys would have the funds for and it's about giving the guest what he needs so he books."
The technology gives hotels a similar look and feel to the big brand websites for a monthly subscription of €750 per month.
WIHP points to analysis from Google and Microsoft which shows even delays of a quarter of a second can mean losing customers.
Additional functionality within Convert includes a content management system and Google Maps.
