Landmark deal for Barcelona-based startup ReviewPro after securing a deal with Sabre Hospitality Solutions to provide reputation management services to hotels.
The Spanish company [TLabs Showcase - ReviewPro] will offer hotels its suite of social media monitoring tools within the existing Sabre marketing products for property owners.
Around 12,000 hotels in 60 countries will be able to access the ReviewPro system through Sabre, tools which include semantic analysis of online reviews, indexing services and a guest satisfaction index for each property.
ReviewPro currently keeps check on around 65 online travel agency review systems and other user generated content-driven travel sites, as well as in ten different languages.
The company has grown quickly since its launch and has partnerships with around 1,500 clients around the world. But securing a deal with one of the major GDSs is a major step up for the company and will go some way to showcasing its service to other hotels.
Sabre says online reputation management is "one of the biggest trends to impact the hotel industry in recent years", triggering its decision to bring additional tools via ReviewPro to the hotel customer base.
