Following in the footsteps of its sister brand Booking.com, sister vacation rental site Villas.com is starting to spread its wings to third parties.
The Priceline Group-owned brand was unveiled with a fair degree of fanfare in May 2014, as a launchpad for villas, apartments and rental homes.
Until now, Villas.com has not shared its inventory to external brands to integrate into their own metasearch sites.
Linking with Kayak - a fellow site in the Priceline Group stable of companies - always made a lot of sense, but Villas.com is now beginning to push its content elsewhere around the world.
First to take a feed will be AllTheRooms, the multi-accommodation search engine which launched in late-2013 (TLabs here).
Founder William Beckler says:

"AllTheRooms believes instant bookability is the holy grail of online vacation rental distribution, as it is a critical obstacle for a hotel customer to make the shift to booking a home or apartment instead."
As a result of its instant booking inventory, Villas.com is in a "powerful position", Beckler argues, giving it a better opportunity to reach consumers via direct channels such as metasearch.
AllTheRooms claims to now have search results for 700,000 hotels, 2.4 million homes and apartments, 51,000 rooms and hostels, 42,000 bed and breakfast accommodation, and 12,000 cabins and boats.
Villas.com's gave AllTheRooms's portfolio over 300,000 properties.
