Place discovery startup Fiz has signed up Le Boat, a TUI Travel brand, as its first partner.
Fiz, which launched last year (TLabs here), brings together user-generated content from a variety of web sources including location-based, social media and review sites and enables users to rate what places are good for.
The startup has now opened up the platform for businesses to use its content and TUI's boating holiday brand, Le Boat, is the first customer.
Fiz will power a mobile application for Le Boat which aims to enhance the customer experience by providing specific information about places along the waterways.
Businesses can control and customise the information by accessing the API's content management system to add, update and filter places.
Fiz is also creating a widget for smaller companies to provide localised information without having to devote huge resources to a customised service.
