Vacation specialist Jetsetter entered into its first exclusive celebrity partnership and will give Norah Jones fans the first listen to her new song, "Travelin' On."
Jetsetter will exclusively be streaming the song from Jones' upcoming album, "Little Broken Hearts," via SoundCloud for five days starting later today. You can hear it here. The song is not available yet for downloading.
The album is slated to be released May 1.
And, Jetsetter for several weeks will be selling tickets through its website, Facebook page and Twitter account to a Norah Jones concert August 7 in Santa Barbara, California, at the Santa Barbara Bowl.
Jetsetter will be the exclusive seller of the concert tickets March 20-22 as they go on sale to the general public through other means beginning March 23.
The Jetsetter partnership with Norah Jones will drive a bunch of traffic to Jetsetter.com, but it remains to be seen despite the tune's name, "Travelin' On," how many fans will take the time to book a trip.
Despite the word "travel" in the song title, the tune isn't about a flash sale getaway to Las Ranitas Eco-Boutique Hotel in Tulum, Mexico, but revolves around the theme of moving on after a break-up.
Still, Drew Patterson, Jetsetter, founder and CEO, says "it's a great song for an afternoon relaxing on the beach."
Then again, Patterson, with beach vacations obviously on his mind, might say that about LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It," too [Substitute your own song title here].
"Like travel, music is a topic that inspires people and we think this partnership will strike a chord with Jetsetters looking to score the soundtrack for their next vacation," Patterson says.
Jetsetter will offer travel packages to the concert and there will be a trip giveaway, as well.
