The critics themselves know the writing’s on the wall - and they keep telling us we’ll miss them when they’re gone.
The funny thing is, they may be right.
Ten years ago, if you’d told me I’d mourn the passing of the preening self-regarding individuals whose words can make or break a restaurant or book, I’d have laughed at you.
