Travel search site Kayak saw its share of the travel website marketplace increase last week despite coming under heavy criticism for its decision to pull an ad from a US TV show.
The company was on the back-foot most of last week, and saw its chief marketing officer and CEO attempt to explain its actions in mea culpa-type blog posts, but so far not felt any impact on the brand's popularity in terms of overall traffic share.
In fact, Kayak increased its market share by almost 0.5% and moved up a spot in the list of leading travel websites in the US.
Market leader Expedia and second placed Priceline also gained on their previous showings, while Orbitz and Travelocity experienced small decreases.
