World Independent Hotels Promotion has worked with TripAdvisor to enable independent hotels to control advertising budgets on the review site.
The marketing agency has been enabling hotels to gain revenue via Show Price ads on TripAdvisor for more than six months but this latest enhancement allows properties to set a maximum monthly budget.
WIHP estimates hotels achieve an average 13 times their investment from Show Price ads in terms of direct bookings but that having an open budget made it too costly for some properties.
