Immfly, an in-flight entertainment specialist, has received an undisclosed investment from Boeing.
The exact amount has not been revealed, but a spokesperson confirms it was in the "double digit" millions.
The investment in Immfly comes via the aircraft manufacturer's venture arm, Boeing HorizonX, and is expected to help it boost capabilities for its airline customers.
Immfly’s technology enables carriers to manage in-flight entertainment, flight information, advertising and onboard sales.
The company’s executive chairman, Jimmy Martinez von Korff, says the companies have a “common vision” to help airlines improve the onboard experience and find new revenue streams.
According to a release, Immfly is one of four companies that Boeing has invested in outside the United States, including U.K-based Reaction Engines, a hypersonic flight specialist.
