Hotel revenue management specialist IDeaS has bought the assets of Smart Space Strategy, a provider of technology to hotels for organising events.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The company creates software to manage events, organise pricing, property analysis and forecasting.
It integrates with a hotel's existing property management system.
Smart Space is only two years old but has gained a 200-strong customer base of properties and conference centres in the US, UK and elsewhere in Western Europe.
IDeaS sees the acquisition as a way combining its existing tools and platforms to the world of events management.
Chief operating officer Sanjay Nagalia says:
