Tnooz will return to San Francisco for a fourth year during the latest stop on its global hackathon extravaganza.
The event (#THackSFO on Twitter) will take place at
San Francisco International Airport (SFO) again, over the weekend on
Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June 2015.
THack @ SFO is open to individual developers and teams of up to 5 members who will compete on-site for more than $3,000 in cash and other prizes.
The event brings together developers and leading travel and travel tech companies and APIs for a creative competition that seeks solutions to real-world travel challenges:
- Inspiration, discovery, memories – Create an application that helps travelers decide where to go and how to share their experiences and journeys.
- SFO mobile concierge – Using SFO's beacons, geo-location and usage data, build an mobile application that helps travelers engage with their airport environment for business, leisure and support services.
- Accommodation finder – Hotel? Hostel? Back-country camping? Home-sharing? Build a recommendation engine for personalized accommodations.
- Route planner – Create an travel application for transportation choices that are time-efficient, cost-effective or creatively scenic ... or all of the above.
Tnooz's Tier 1 sponsoring organizations (including
Amadeus,
Sabre,
Virgin America and San Francisco International Airport and others to be announced) will provide access to their technology to use in programming solutions to travel challenges that will be announced soon.
