Instagram has been used in many innovative ways by travel brands. Now, we have an Instagram travel video made by a user that is a compilation of 852 Instagram pictures from 852 users.
Art director Thomas Jullien has created a 100-second travel video in which he has placed 852 Instagram images sequentially to give it a video-look.
The video portrays sequential pictures of at least four cities: London, Paris, New York and Sydney.
This is yet another creative attempt at using Instagram. To put in the context of how travel brands can leverage a similar concept video,
- An airline can announce a contest to capture a two minute video (using pictures) from the take off of its plane till landing
- A tourism department can come up with a similar video for their city/country using pictures taken by users
Videos like these can be simply compared to time-lapse videos, but, here, we are talking about crowd sourced travel video creation.
