Indian travel community HolidayIQ has launched a new channel on its app which curates more than 1,000 activity-based vacation options from across India.
The move is being positioned as a marketplace and will be branded as Holidays on the holidayiq app. Initially it will be made available to Andriod users.
More than 100 agents and suppliers are listing inventory, including Giftxoxo, Tushky, Exploita and Padhaaro.
HolidayIQ founder and CEO Hari Nair highlighted two trends behind the luanch of a dedciated channel for activities. The shift to mobile in India has been widely reported. For HolidayIQ, around 70% of its traffic is coming via mobile.
In May the business bought SourceN, a specialist Indian/US business for designing travel-related apps for iOS, Android and Windows.

HolidayIQ will also allow users to review the activities, adding to its already comprehensive destination-based content.
