Business payments service Fleetcor Technologies is to acquire Levarti in a bid to provide tools that assist with service disruptions on airlines.
Terms of the acquisition are not being disclosed.
Levarti, created in 2014 and based in the U.K., has contained within its MAX suite a passenger notification system for delays and cancellations, flight re-booking tools, hotel accommodation, transfers and vouchers.
It also handles check-ins, contactless payments, baggage tracking and claim services.
The company will sit within the Fleetcor portfolio of business units, including an existing airline accommodation service that books hotel room nights for crew and disrupted passengers.
Ron Clarke, Fleetcor's chairman and CEO, says: "This acquisition gives us a complementary solution to further automate and streamline passenger disruption events for our airline clients. We expect our combined offering will be of great interest to airlines, and lead to accelerated sales in our lodging airline segment."
Levarti's services support 300 airports, 150 million passengers per year, 4,000 daily flights and attracts $65 million in airport and inflight revenues.
