The annual innovation competition at Travel Technology Europe sees companies focusing on procurement, operator software, rail, pricing and decoding reach the final.
In its fourth year, the Innovation Award is designed to celebrate the achievements of the travel technology sector and recognise innovation over the previous 12 months.
The five companies vying for the overall prize are:
The Micros entry covers its SABSCorporate product, a system which aggregates content from multiple suppliers in a single search for corporate travel buyers, returning air, rail, hotel, car results with CO2 emission and man-hour costs.
TourCMS has submitted an entry for its reservation system, giving operators and accommodation providers a back-office booking management system which is completely self-service, as well as documentation, prices and support carried out entirely online.
Quno is the consumer-facing brand of the SilverRail train search and booking system. The product integrates multiple train operating companies from around the world and and gives OTAs the ability to sell product as they would air [See TLabs Showcase - SilverRail Technologies].
Dolphin Dynamics has been shortlisted for its Pricing Engine - a system which calculates markups, vendor and customer deposits and cancellation fees for agents, covering product, supplier, duration, destination and yield factor.
The Decoder Suite from Navitas completes the line-up. The system covers four tools including itinerary, availability, timetable and fare shopping decoders of GDS data, so customers can easily identify patterns and details from suppliers.
