Expedia has switched to the UK capital of London in a bid to add more bells and whistles to its destination pages.
Historic London is a microsite available from the Expedia UK website which combines Google Streetview with old pictures of the city.
Users can move around the streets of the capital and then compare how some of London's most famous landmarks have altered over the last 100 years.
Areas featured include Piccadilly Circus, Westminster Abbey, Oxford Street and Covent Garden.
Any hard-sell to buy hotels or flights to London is missing from the platform, with just a small link to city break pages back on the main website.
The introduction of the Historic London initiative follows the online travel agency's recent initiative with the Department of Culture in Malmo, Sweden, which gives users the chance to tour the region's famous Malmohus Castle, again using Google Streetview.
